Solar Energy at Zenger Farm’s Urban Grange

Zenger Farm’s Urban Grange, completed in 2015, is a hub for healthy food and community connection. Thanks to generous support from our partners, the Urban Grange now has a solar grid system that we will integrate into our hands-on environmental education programs.

The Urban Grange was designed to be net zero, meaning that it would use an amount of energy approximately equal to the amount of renewable energy created on site. Our solar array, installed in April 2017 by Synchro Solar, will help Zenger Farm to realize this goal.

This project was made possible with funding support from the PGE Renewable Development Fund.  Thank you to our partners at Synchro Solar, which works for a stronger community, a greener planet, and healthier neighborhoods.
