Summer Camp: 7th-9th Graders

There’s so much fun exploring to do at Zenger Farm this summer! Campers will get up close and personal with their food as we grow, harvest and cook all kinds of fresh treats together! Each day brings new adventures including exploring nature around our farm and wetlands and playing in the Nature Playground and living Willow Dome. Every camper will have a chance to cook up something delicious in our Urban Grange and Farmhouse kitchens. Other camp activities include digging in the Children’s Gardens, creating art from nature, learning about all the creatures on the farm, and so many games and songs!

  • 8:45AM-3:00PM
  • $180/week: June 13th-15th
  • $295/week: June 18th-Aug 25th
  • $65/day: July 2nd-6th (closed 7/4)
  • Flexible Drop-off each morning: 8-8:45 am
  • 3-6PM
  • $20/day with pre-enrollment
  • $90 flat fee for all five days
  • Aftercare now goes until 6pm and includes Fridays

Camp Open House at Zenger Farm is every Friday at 2:30pm with food, farm exploration and fun for the family! Join us!

Chef Masters

  • June 25th-28th
  • July 23rd-27th  

It’s time to roll up your sleeves and get in the kitchen! Get your apron and chef hat on and get ready for some fun recipe creation, friendly competition and delicious cooking! Campers will test their cooking abilities and learn new techniques in the kitchen during this week of cooking challenges. We will gain experience in harvesting fresh ingredients, building recipes, and using equipment in a commercial kitchen. The crops are at our fingertips and you will be the judge as to who can transform them into the tastiest dishes!

Garden Guardians

  • July 9th-13th

Calling all aspiring gardeners! In this camp, we’ll be in the garden every day, planting, weeding and growing delicious food to share. We’ll work and learn with the farmers and then put those skills to use in the Children’s Garden, where you’ll be in charge. Garden Guardians have special projects, privileges and responsibilities in the garden and will know all the secrets to help plants thrive. Along the way, you’ll gain skills to grow food at home or at school! Be ready to cook and prepare what we harvest to share in tasty meals together.

Outdoor Chefs

  • July 16th-20th

Cooking on an open fire is way more than just s’mores! Let’s bring the kitchen outside for this chef experience! We’ll be using an open fire as well as an outdoor oven to explore the possibilities of cooking outside. Come prepared to use farm ingredients mixed with a lot of creativity as we make delicious magic happen over open flames. We will learn about fire safety, perfect some outdoor recipes and experiment with herbs to make delicious creations. And, of course, we’ll always find time to play games, explore the wetland and say hi to the chickens!
