Example CSA Shares
Zenger Farm’s CSA shares include 6-12 organic vegetables every week. CSA shares may also include very limited amounts of organic fruit, herbs and edible flowers. Our CSA is seasonal—the amount and type of vegetables change throughout the year. Check out the photos of our example shares below. Shares may also include a bag of beans or grains from Bob’s Red Mill.
How much food will I get?
Everyone’s eating habits are different, so it’s difficult to answer this question! A weekly CSA share provides about enough vegetables for two veggie-loving adults or a family of four omnivores who eat most of their meals at home. We did the math once, and a CSA share contains enough vegetables for 2 ½ adults to meet their USDA dietary recommendations for a week but… only 10% of Americans eat the recommended amount of vegetables! So, the size of our CSA shares really depends on your eating habits. Take a look at the photos of example CSA shares below.
