Join us for some lively farm work each Friday between 2pm and 5pm. No need to RSVP, just show up ready to get dirty!

Adopt-a-Market! Get a group together to "Adopt-a-Market" this season! You and your group would volunteer on the day of the market to help with all aspects of running the market (setup, community/info table, takedown etc). You can also volunteer at the market on an individual basis (bring a friend, or family member or two!) Join a team of volunteers to support exciting outreach and fundraising events at the farm and around the city. We are working to increase community support so we can meet the overwhelming demand for our educational programs. You can be an integral part of this work by sharing our message of environmental stewardship and good food for all. Volunteers will gain experience in outreach, fundraising and event planning while having a great time as part of a team supporting the farm.

Help us build food security in our neighborhood by being a part of our newest program! Volunteers work with Zenger Farm Staff to conduct Healthy Eating on a Budget Workshops in the Powellhurst-Gilbert and Lents Neighborhoods of East Portland. We are looking for volunteers from various backgrounds and experience levels who are excited about contributing existing expertise and skills, learning the workshop format and content, and developing proficiency in their volunteer role.

Share your love of sustainable farming! Help engage visitors to the Farm and teach community members about sustainable food. Docents host drop-in farm days and work parties, lead hour long weekday or weekend tours of the farm and participate in occasional outreach events in the community. We ask for a 3 month commitment of 2-5 hours per week.

Worms: Help us care for our worm bins and develop our worm composting project as an an educational resource.
Bees: Learn how to keep bees, get hands on experience with experienced beekeepers and practice on the hives at Zenger Farm.
Chickens: Our chickens are cared for by the Eastide Egg Co-op. If you are interested in getting involved, contact Sara Cogan, Farm Manager, at sara@zengerfarm.org.

Help us care for our sustainable landscape by maintaining our bioswales, orchards, gardens, farm fields and wetland. Help us create a sustainable edible landscape!
