Open Farm Day: Pickling

Saturday, July 16th, 11:30am – 3pm

Who doesn’t love a good pickle? Pickling is an age-old way to preserve seasonal vegetables to enjoy all throughout the year. We’ll be leading a simple hands on workshop on pickling summer vegetables using two methods: fermentation and quick pickling! You will go home with a recipe, a jar of pickled veggies, and more knowledge than you came with. Kids and youth are welcome to participate. Farm tours and lunch will also be provided by our community chefs.

This event is sliding scale. Pay what you can or use code: “OFD22” for free registration. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
