Volunteers make the world go ’round, and that’s certainly true at Zenger Farm! Every year, hundreds of volunteers contribute thousands of hours in the fields, the garden beds, the classrooms, the kitchen and the office. We couldn’t do our work without you, and we want to celebrate and honor you!

This is a free and family-friendly event; we will provide food and drink and some farm games, and ask you bring something to eat/drink and share. Contact Andrew Hogan at to RSVP and with any questions.


TUESDAY, June 27th, 6-8:30PM

Come celebrate the diverse food traditions of outer SE Portland with this family-friendly cooking workshop led by Gloria Yan-Lim, one of the Community Chefs. The seasonal menu will highlight produce from the farm including Chinese Lettuce wraps with homemade sauce, Summer Squash with glass noodles, and Pan-fried tofu.   Register HERE or contact Krysta at with any questions. Farm Dinner with Cory Schreiber

Chef Cory Schreiber, founder of Wildwood Restaurant, is a champion of farm to table cooking in Portland. For one night only, join Cory at Zenger Farm for a three-course dinner in support of good food for all. You can register here. Cost: $85 per person


Saturday, July 22, 4pm-9PM

Hoedown is our festive celebration at the height of summer! It will feature handcranked Salt & Straw ice cream, live music from Red Yarn and Wonderly, a photo booth,  demos from our Community Chefs, and a picnic supper. Your ticket includes dinner, a drink ticket, and fun activities for the whole family. You can register here. Cost: $25 General Admission, $15 Youth, Free for 5 and Under

Farm to Table

Saturday, September 30, 5pm-10PM

Farm to Table is our signature celebration in support of good food for all. Join us for a gala and auction at the Urban Grange with appetizers prepared by our Community Chefs and a multi-course meal from an all-star chef lineup, including Katy Millard from Coquine. You can purchase your ticket here. Cost: $200 per person


Beekeeping Work Parties with Portland Urban Beekeepers

1st and 3rd Sundays, 10AM-12PM

Beekeepers from PUB will be onsite working on the hives in the Zenger Farm apiary. This is a great opportunity to learn about beekeeping from some of the local experts. Appropriate for all levels of experience. Equipment is available for use, but please wear close toed shoes, weather appropriate clothes, and bring your own water bottle and sunscreen.

There is no charge for these events, though donations to PUB help sustain the program at Zenger Farm.
