Spring for Zenger

Join us for our most delicious fundraiser of the year! Participating businesses donate 15% of one days sales to Zenger Farm and our mission to ensure access to good food for all. Some of Portland’s top restaurants, bars, eateries, cafes, nurseries and garden supply stores participate. Click here for this year’s line-up!

 

COMMUNITY chef cooking evening w/ Chef Gloria yan

TUESDAY, april 25th, 5:30-8PM

Come enjoy a Spring evening on the farm with us for an evening of traditional Chinese dumpling making with Community Chef Gloria. Gloria cooks from the heart and is motivated to teach others how to cook simple and nutritious meals that are good for their families and themselves. Here at Zenger, our Community Chef Workshops create a feeling of cooking with family and friends as everyone is gathered around the kitchen exchanging recipes and making memories. Eventually, we’ll circle together around the table to share what has been made and close out the evening with warm conversation and full stomachs. The workshop is pay what you can $5- $20 though no one is turned away for lack of funds.

 

Camp Preview open house

April 30th 1-4pm

Join us for this fun, free family event! Get to know Zenger Farm and learn all about our Summer Camps! The whole farm will be open for exploration and we’ll have some of our favorite camp activities set up so you can see what camp is really like! Our Camp Counselors will be on hand to answer all your burning questions and to help you sign up on the spot, if you’re ready. Free food will be provided! See you then! MAY

COMMUNITY COOKING WORKSHOP

TUESDAY, MAY 9th, 5:30-8PM

Come celebrate spring with us and cook a delicious seasonal meal. Here at Zenger we love sharing our knowledge and resources with each other as we build community around food. Children are welcome to come with their adults and learn right alongside all of us. Beekeeping Work Parties with Portland Urban Beekeepers

1st and 3rd Sundays, 10AM-12PM

Beekeepers from PUB will be onsite working on the hives in the Zenger Farm apiary. This is a great opportunity to learn about beekeeping from some of the local experts. Appropriate for all levels of experience. Equipment is available for use, but please wear close toed shoes, weather appropriate clothes, and bring your own water bottle and sunscreen.

There is no charge for these events, though donations to PUB help sustain the program at Zenger Farm.
