Volunteer

From tending crops to supporting our onsite apothecary to helping out in the office, volunteers are essential members of our team.

Individual Volunteering

Volunteers are the backbone of Zenger Farm’s work. From the fields to the gardens to the classrooms to the office to everything in between, we can’t do our work without volunteer support.

At Zenger Farm we create a fun and collaborative environment where volunteers and staff can learn from each other, support one another and grow together. Volunteers are an integral part of the team.

Are you interested in contributing to your local food system? We offer weekly volunteer shifts from March to November and monthly opportunities through the winter.

Please Note: volunteers who are under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Before you volunteer, please fill out the volunteer waiver!

Group Volunteering

Are you interested in bringing your group to the farm for a day of service and teambuilding? We offer group volunteer packages! Bring your team out to Zenger Farm to learn and connecting while contributing to our mission. Volunteering at Zenger Farm is an engaging, hands-on way to connect your brand and employees to our work while demonstrating your organization’s commitment to food justice. We can help make community engagement rewarding and visible for your group!

Board Service

Are you interested in helping steer the vision and development of Zenger Farm? Apply to join our Board of Directors! It is essential to carry out our mission and develop a group of strong community leaders willing to volunteer their time, ideas, and network.

We encourage Black, Indigenous, people of color, women, LGBTQ+ people, religious minorities, recent migrants/refugees, people with disabilities, and applicants from different generational and economic backgrounds to apply.

We strive to eliminate any barriers! Please let us know if any childcare, transportation, language/translation/communication needs, accessibility modifications, or other accommodations would help you to fully participate.
